News release by MCA Spokesperson and MCA Publicity Deputy Chairperson Wong Siew Mun

24 units of Rumah Rakyat Pahang to be available for eligible anak Pahang applicants from Bentong once Pahang Budget 2022 passed

The Pahang state Budget 2022 as tabled by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail includes 6 units of Rumah Rakyat Pahang for each state constituency which will be given free to the destitute or poor anak Pahang. MCA Publicity Bureau Deputy Chairman Wong Siew Mun welcomed the Barisan Nasional State Government’s plan and encouraged eligible anak Pahang in Bentong to apply from the district office.

There are 4 state constituency seats in Bentong. This translates to 24 homes for Pahang residents. Applicants must be recipients of eKASIH aid, do not own homes nor have any children, and whose salary does not exceed RM1,500.

In addition, the State Government will provide RM10,000 as a start-up fund to help young adults aged between 18 and 30 years to start an agricultural business. This subsidy will undoubtedly be a great boost for youths who are facing difficult times due to a lack of funds. Wong Siew Mun has proposed to the State Government that in addition to disbursing funds, to also arrange for courses on agricultural technology so that young adults would be imbued with a sound foundation on agricultural knowledge laying the path towards entrepreneurship.
