MCA Youth TVET Bureau hosting video contest to promote technical & vocational education

MCA Youth Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) Bureau will organise a “TVET Short Film Contest” and it is open to all Malaysian citizens from all walks of life. We hope to convey to the community, via visual lenses information about TVET courses. MCA Youth TVET Bureau urges the public to promote TVET to complement the government in gearing towards becoming a high-income country.

 
Contestants are required to produce an original short film with a length ranging 3 to 5 minutes. Participants are free to use their own ideas to interpret the subject without limitations in any of the submissions. Means. The dialogue can include any language or dialect commonly spoken in Malaysia.

Prizes for this contest are:

Champion: RM2,500;

Runner-up: RM1,000;

2rd runner: RM500;

and 5 special prizes: RM 200 each.
 
All works submitted must be original works by the contestant and this is the first time the contestant is submitting such a production. All works must be production from after 26 May 2017. Participants may download the registration form from the MCA website, fill up the application form and same the works in a DVD and submit it to the MCA Youth Secretariat.

Sdr Jeremy George, MCA Youth TVET Bureau Deputy Chairman pointed out that, “while MCA Youth actively promotes TVET activities, simultaneously, we would like to promote community activities, especially the production of short films. Information and in-depth understanding of the existing technical and vocational education in Malaysia can be presented dynamically through visual lenses.”
