MCA Youth Melaka distributes aid to vulnerable groups to overcome difficulties

In view of the shortage of food and daily necessities affecting vulnerable groups especially elderly persons living alone with the implementation of the Movement Control Order, MCA Youth on 6 Apr 2020 had distributed the said goods to those living in the vicinity of Bukit Beruang.

MCA Youth Melaka distributed 20 bags of supplies to vulnerable groups in need of aid, which can alleviate their part of their problems for the time being. If MCA Youth Melaka receives some more aid for vulnerable groups, we will continue to distribute such goods according to the situation.

The MCO is  being carried out with the primary purpose of curtailing the Covid-19 pandemic and preventing it from spreading, thereby enabling more lives to be protected. It the situation worsens, not only are more lives at risk, but he MCO may be extended, causing more difficulties for the public and enterprises.

Everyone is urged to cooperate with the government’s instructions during the MCO. Staying home and exercising at home are among the best methods to stem the spread of the disease. People who venture out for grocery shopping should take the following measures upon reaching home to ensure the safety of one’s self and family.

1) Remove face mask, wrap it and discard it into a covered trash bin

2) Avoid close contact with children and other family members

3) Change all clothing and wash immediately

4) Use soap to wash your face, hands and other parts of the body

5) Upon completing all the above, one may safely interact with other family members at close range

If everyone abides with the government’s instructions and do not venture out unnecessarily, we believe this pandemic which the world is currently grappling with, can be defeated.

If everyone plays their part and abides by the government ’s instructions and will not go out unless necessary, I believe this epidemic that hits the world will soon rain and clear. It is our hopes that everyone can ride through this unprecedented calmly, so that it will not become the new normal.
