In conjunction with the BeWithYou Community Caring Campaign, CRSM and GoCare hosted a Charity Food Truck event from June 4th to 5th from 12:00pm to 5:00pm at GM Klang Wholesale City in Klang. As part of its community services, these fundraising activities intend to render assistance and support to vulnerable groups in need.

CRSM Selangor Chief Chng Soo Chau informed that, “during the three-day long weekend, CRSM invited ten food trucks to the scene to provide customers with a variety of food and beverages.” Adding that purchases by customers reflected acts of kindness, Chng explained that all proceeds were donated to the GoCare BeWithYou GoCaring Campaign. “These funds will be channelled for Project Caring Orang Asli, GoCare gift box distribution, and community health screenings,” he said.

Wanita MCA Klang Chairperson Tee Hooi Ling thanked the relevant authorities for sponsoring this meaningful event. “We express our gratitude to GM Klang Mall for providing the venue.” Thanking the food truck team for bringing delicious meals to raise funds for the Klang community, she also urged the public to get involved and help make this event a success.

She pointed out that, “while tasting the food and drinks, everyone has contributed to the community. Even a small amount of money can make a big difference in the lives of disadvantaged groups.”

During the Lunar New Year, GoCare BeWithYou Community Caring Campaign organised various "CNY Care 2023" activities. These include, distributing ang pows  and New Year gifts to poor single-parent families. Currently, a GoHealthy community awareness campaign is being promoted, and programmes include community free health screenings, NCSM Free Mammogram screenings, and GoHealthy Medical Tools Charity Sales.

In order to raise public awareness of vulnerable groups, this campaign will hold a series of fundraising activities, such as charity food trucks, charity bazaars, etc, with the hopes of achieving a target of RM300,000.00. This sum will be used to fund community care activities and crisis relief efforts.
