Senator Bob Manolan made a statement threatening the Orang Asli Tok Batins.

Kit Siang’s statement saying that he check with DAP leaders and he named Deputy Water, Land and Natural Resources Minister Tengku Zulpuri, Bentong MP Wong Tack, Senator Adrian  Lasimbang and Ketari Assemblyman Young Syefora Othman and he said that they confirmed that there was no threats made to the Tok Batins.

Tian Chua has come out to apologize on behalf of the party for the statement made against the Tok Batins. We are of the opinion that it is only fit for Lim Kit Siang to apologise to all Malaysians and in particular to the Tok Batins for trying to deny the statement made, apologize for trying to trivialise this matter. It is not small matter to threaten the Orang Asli, to intimidate them, or to bully them into voting the government or the DAP candidate.

I think firstly, Kit Siang must apologise for the statement he made and if he had actually been misled by the Member of Parliament, or by the Deputy Minister, or by his state assemblyman; then, these leaders must apologise.

New Malaysia is about integrity. New Malaysia is about not making false statements, not misleading, or belittling the minorities. So, we call upon am apology to be made, and for the words to be retracted.
