DAP increasing their stakes on Muslim votes now that they're losing grip on Chinese votes

It is indeed interesting to note that DAP are now shifting their focus on Muslim votes upon realising that the Chinese voters are jaded and seeing through their opportunistic politics of race and religion.

Penang tokong Lim Guan Eng who was jailed by Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammad and branded him as an "Ultra Malay" is now quick to defend the person they once labelled as “dictator” because he is fighting UMNO (Free Malaysia Today, 19 Aug 2017).

Someone from Penang should congratulate Lim Guan Eng for trying to camouflage DAP's true face of racism when they were in a "shiok sendiri” mode while attacking MCA for selling out the Chinese whilst working with Malays and Muslims in the past towards national interest.

Isn't it too late and futile an attempt for DAP to whitewash the Rocket’s true face of racism by merely pointing to an increase of 84% of the budget in long period of 9 years which amounts to only about 9% a year? It is simple for Guan Eng to dish out a high double digit percentage by a long period of time . However when one breaks down into annual affairs, the percentage drops to a single digit percentage. An accounting trick indeed?

Even in this respect Guan Eng is trying to pull wools over the Muslim voters eyes by inflating and focusing on the figure of 84%. Bravo Lim Guan ENG.  You are indeed  and no doubt a good Silap Mata or Magician with figures and speech.

The DAP Bagan MP is trying too hard to win over Malay votes but this is definitely not hard enough. One thing is for sure, he is taking the Chinese votes for granted. Either he's too cocksure of the Chinese votes for DAP or he is beginning to disregard their feelings now.

Or is it DAP is losing their grip on Chinese support and is now trying to win over Malay votes by this attempted populist move of highlighting the increase in budget to Islamic Affairs to the figure to 84%?

Similarly, one should take note of DAP's politics when the state allocated RM460mil for Islamic affairs from 2008 to April last year and RM7.11mil to other religious groups from 2012 to April last year, in this comparison of eight years and four years, the ratio is 98.47% to 1.53%, although the non-Muslim population in Penang comes up to 58%.

It must also be recalled that when Guan Eng announced that the Penang state administration is allocating land for temples and churches, outrage followed as these land plots were too close to sewage ponds and the Ampang Jajar solid waste transfer station, thus leaving a stench among non-Muslim Penangites who had voted in Pakatan

Is Lim Guan Eng trying too hard to camouflage or change DAP's face of chauvinism by these political gestures? Or has DAP now stopped championing the Chinese, Christians etc ?
