Press Statement by MCA Publicity Bureau Chairman Dato’ Chai Kim Sen

DAP deceived its party members & voters into supporting PAS, Teresa Kok can never deny that

DAP vice chairman Teresa Kok has repeatedly come up with all sorts of excuses to cover up the party’s fault of deceiving the voters into believing PAS.

DAP kept saying that its previous cooperation with PAS was based on a Common Policy Framework. Does this Common Policy Framework allow DAP to agree with PAS’ plan of establishing a theocratic state, while misguiding the voters into believing that PAS will only implement a welfare state?

On 29 April 2013, DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng signed a joint agreement with PAS President Dato’ Seri Hadi Awang, giving PAS the authority to pursue and establish a “theocratic state” in their own way. This clearly shows that DAP agrees with PAS’ agenda of establishing a “theocratic state”.

What is even more baffling is that while DAP and Lim Guan Eng undoubtedly knew and agreed with PAS’ agenda of establishing a “theocratic state”, they still campaigned for PAS in the 13th General Election. Meanwhile, they deceived their party members and voters that PAS has dropped their agenda to establish a “theocratic state”, thus enabling party members and voters to let their guard down and select PAS on the ballot slip.

Till now, DAP still refuses to apologise for deceiving the voters and empowering PAS. On the contrary, they keep distancing themselves from their past cooperation to shirk their responsibility.

This explains why DAP continues to belittle and defame the former four party members who quit the Rocket. DAP denounced the four elected representative from Malacca for apologising over their mistakes of campaigning for PAS and misleading the voters in the 13th General Election as they exposed the truth that DAP wishes to hide and cover up.

The more DAP tries to slander the four elected reps, the guiltier it is. DAP can never hide the fact that it had campaigned for PAS and deceiving people into voting for the PAS in the 13th General Election.
