MCA Youth: Decision to postpone Local-U application deadline welcomed - Students urged to follow UPU’s Facebook page for updates

MCA Youth welcomes the decision by Bahagian Kemasukan Pelajar IPTA (BKPA/UPU) to postpone the application deadline for the 2020/2021 academic session of local universities until 7 April 2020. Amidst the various restrictions imposed and inconveniences caused by the movement control order (MCO), it is thoughtful for BKPA to take the initiative to help SPM leavers.

Some students may not have access to internet services; Thus, postponing the deadline will give these SPM leavers a better chance at applying for their aspired local universities. During this extended period, students can purchase a unique ID from BSN (before 6 April 2020) for online registration.

Students of STPM, Matriculation and other equivalent academic qualifications are also reminded that the deadline is set at 7 April 2020.

For any enquiries, students could visit https://www.facebook.com/UPUonlineBPKPJPT/ or keep an eye out for their FB Live videos from 23-27 March at 10am and 3pm, where the officers will be present to assist.

With the innovation and utilisation of technology, this arrangement allows student to conveniently receive help without going anywhere in accordance to the government’s call to #StayAtHome.
