Wira Syukur: Shareholder for Penang undersea tunnel,
also chosen for controversial Sabah mega dam project

Former Premier Dato’ Sri Najib bin Tun Abdul Razak revealed that, Wira Syukur (M) Sdn Bhd as one of the shareholders* for the Penang undersea tunnel project concession company, also happens to have been chosen for Sabah’s mega dam development project.

He thus raises a pertinent poser as could this perhaps be why DAP would support Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal to be Pakatan Harapan’s Prime Minister-designate?

“Sabah has projects with values in the billions, but what will supporting Anwar get you?” (https://www.facebook.com/najibrazak/photos/a.294787430951/10157175385065952/?type=3&theater)

Najib on his Facebook page posted that during GE14, PH strongly opposed the construction of the Kaiduan dam in Sabah. Yet, within half a year in government, it was swiftly rebranded as the Papar dam, and the RM3 billion project awarded to Wira Syukur.

Najib wrote, what’s more bizarre, the person who signed the letter-Sabah Water Department director Amarjit Singh, on the day before signing (9 October 2019), it was decided by the court that his appointment was unlawful. How then, can Amarjit Singh go to work the next day to approve this project?

Besides that, Najib noted that Amarjit Singh was appointed by Sabah Infrastructure Development Minister Datuk Peter Anthony, both of them being linked to Sabah Water Department corruption cases, yet after the general election, both of them are allowed to continue managing the Department.
