MED: Govt funding used for national car - What now, Pakatan?

The cat is out of the bag. The Ministry of Entrepreneur Development (MED) has clearly stated that the RM20 million from the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MEA) has been channelled to DreamEdge for the New National Car Project (NNCP).

MED excused the “flying car” or super drone from the RM20 million funding by the Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT); However, the Ministry’s statement now puts Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Minister of International Trade and Industry (MITI) Minister Darrell Leiking in the spotlight as the duo had iterated that the NNCP will not involve government funds.

According the MED’s statement, Aerodyne Ventures Sdn Bhd (AVSB) is not only involved in the flying car project, but also the development of the third national car project in collaboration with DreamEdge.

The government’s funding approval came from MIGHT, a subsidiary of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), through Venture Tech Sdn Bhd (VTSB), for the investment in AVSB. Long story short, the government has once again ‘kantoi’ themselves in ‘not using government funds’.

Time and again, the Pakatan Harapan government have tried to deceive and cover up. Furthermore, the NNCP itself wasn’t a well-received one from the start, and now they fail to even keep up with their own words. The Manifesto may not be the Bible, but PH’s credibility is probably not even worth a single brain cell anymore.

The rakyat have been saying: No flying car, no national car, just fix our economy. However, PH’s fantastic listening skills have led them to adamantly fund their pet project, now exposed to be even using government funds. Moreover, the straight face they put up as they said “no government funding”. This government is truly one-of-a-kind.
