Conditions to Become an MCA Member

a) Must be at least 18 years of age.
b) A Malaysian citizen of Chinese descent.
c) Agree and undertake to observe all the rules, regulations, bye-laws and conditions applicable from time to time to such membership, to abide by the MCA Constitution and to adhere to programmes, principles and policies of the Party; and
d) Not be a member of, nor affiliated, to any other political party.

Application Process to Become an MCA Member

a) Complete the membership application form.
b) Apply via the MCA Official Mobile App.

Membership Fees

Ordinary Member
RM10 for membership subscription for the first 5 years
(RM2/year thereafter)
Life Member
RM100/- for life

Manual Application

  • Complete the application form
  • Verification Process:
    • Visit a nearby MCA Branch/Office for biometric verification
    • Submit a selfie video
  • Attach the required documents (if biometric verification is not completed, applicants are then required to attach a colour passport-size photo and a copy of the front and back of their respective MyKad)
  • Payment of membership fee:
    • Cash
    • Cheque (Make cheque payable to "MCA HQ")
    • Bank transfer
      Account Name: MCA HQ
      Bank: Alliance Bank
      Account Number: 14185-00100-33376 (Payment receipt should be submitted to the MCA HQ Membership Section for verification)
  • Submit the completed application form to the MCA HQ Membership Section
  • The MCA Membership Section will review the application
  • The MCA Membership Section will next submit the application to the MCA Central Committee for approval
  • The applicant will receive a membership card after approval for his/her application has been granted
    • *Note: The MCA HQ Membership Section accepts applications via WhatsApp (011-5975 9313) or email (membership@mca.org.my), including the completed membership application form, selfie video, required documents, and payment receipt.

Mobile App Application

  • Download the MCA Official Mobile App from the Play Store (Android), App Store (iPhone), or Huawei Gallery (Huawei)
  • Open the mobile app and select "Join MCA"
  • Enter your MyKad number and mobile number, and you will receive a One-Time Password (OTP). Enter the OTP
  • Follow the instructions in the app, take a selfie with your MyKad, and upload the front and back copies of your MyKad and a colour passport-size photo
  • Complete the online membership application form and pay the membership fee online
  • The MCA HQ Membership Section will review the application
  • The Membership Section will next submit the application to the MCA Central Committee for approval
  • The applicant will receive a membership card after approval for his/her application has been granted
