KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong (pic) has invited the public for input on issues regarding the 13th Malaysia Plan to be raised during the upcoming parliamentary debate.
“If there are any issues you would like me to raise, feel free to comment below,” he said in a Facebook post.
The Ayer Hitam MP has also pledged to thoroughly scrutinise every detail of the plan.
With the plan tabled, he said it is now the lawmakers’ turn to join the debate session.
Dr Wee is scheduled to take part in the debate session next Tuesday.
He also congratulated Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for presenting the plan.
“Well done PMX; a speech delivered with energy and passion for almost two hours,” he said.
The plan, themed “Redesigning Development”, outlines a national development framework for 2026 to 2030.
The five-year plan sees a total allocation of RM611bil, placing strong emphasis on revitalising the economic sector.
The Prime Minister when tabling the 13MP said the plan would prioritise three focal points – good governance, ensuring value creation in all economic sectors, and ensuring an inclusive development that raises the living standards of the people.
The 13MP will be debated for eight days in Parliament from Monday.
